- He LETS me....
- He LEADS me...
- He GUIDES me...
The Question is: Do I allow the Good Shepherd to Lead...Guide...and Rest me. I will answer that within.

Is it not an irony that David was comforted by the Good Shepherds Rod and Staff.. ? How can a stick be comforting?
It is possible:
- The Rod of our Shepherd protects me against the Enemy
- He uses it to pave the way before me in order to LEAD me in the way I should go.
- The Shepherd uses the Rod to crush the head of the serpent..
- He uses the Rod to guide and to give me assurance that I will not be lost...
Yes this is comforting...Your Rod ...Comfort me.
As I incline my ears to my Shepherds Voice, I'm comforted. I rest...
His Staff is also comforting... Painfully Comforting.
- The Shepherd's Staff protects the sheep, me, against Myself
- I go astray, so He uses it to draw me near...
- I sometimes make silly decisions, based on my obscure sight... He draws me near
- I incline to seek help outside of His provision, He draw me near to Himself.
- The Shepherd sometimes has to break my ankle with His Staff, just to slow me down…
- Hi Staff does the pruning of my wayward character..
Yes... How comforting..Hmmmm
I'm comforted because,
I'm not an Orphan ... I have a Father who desciplines me
I'm not Wandering helplessly and hopelessly through Life... I'm guided
His Rod and His Staff Comfort me... He uses them to ensure I reach my Destiny
